San Francisco’s BART has been made quieter. Dr. Daniel Fink says it’s proof that if there’s the will to make subways quieter, there’s a way to get it done.
Subways can be made quieter if one tries, and BART is trying by grinding the metal wheels to reduce screech. But why not use rubber tires?
