As this link from CDC tells us, October is National Protect Your Hearing Month.
Noise causes hearing loss by damaging delicate cochlear structures. CDC also states that noise-induced hearing loss is the only type of hearing loss that is 100% preventable.
Avoid loud noise, leave the noisy environment, or use hearing protection.
As we often say, “If it sounds loud, it’s too loud, and your auditory health is at risk.” Protect your hearing and your ears will last you an entire lifetime.
And even if you already have auditory damage, protecting your hearing should prevent or at least reduce further damage.
