Los Angeles traffic noise problem reaches Malaysia

Well, the headline of this blog post is admittedly misleading. Road traffic noise can travel far, especially horns and exhaust noise from trucks and illegally modified passenger vehicle exhaust systems, but it can’t cross the Pacific Ocean to reach Malaysia. The Los Angeles Times’ article about our traffic noise problem here did, however, reach The Star newspaper and website there, though.

And that’s good, because the Los Angeles Times’ version is behind its paywall, but The Star’s isn’t. The article mentions legislative efforts in Sacramento to deal with the problem of road traffic noise. We’ll see if those are successful.

A quieter world will be a better and healthier world for all.
