The SupercarBlondie automotive entertainment website reports that Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, thinks flying cars are a dumb idea. But he’s not the only big name talking about flying cars. Donald Trump, former president and 2024 Republican presidential candidate, said he supports flying car development in a 2023 campaign video.
Musk told Bloomberg that it’s difficult for him to imagine flying cars as a scalable and safe form of transportation. He adds that flying cars will be a noisy hazard rather than a convenient mode of getting from one place to the next. In this case, I find myself in rare agreement with Musk. The potential danger of flying cars, including noise pollution, makes them an impractical idea.
