Years before I was a co-author of the book “Why Noise Matters,” of which John Stewart is the lead author, I had worked with John on the noise issue, especially aircraft noise. John is well-known in the UK for his activism in urging the reduction of aircraft noise and air pollution, especially in communities impacted by flights taking off from Heathrow Airport. Thus, it is with much enthusiasm that I invite readers concerned with aviation pollution to attend the webinar “A Cap on Flight Numbers at An Airport: A good Idea?” presented by John Stewart, Vice-Chair of European Union Against Aircraft Nuisance, on February 2nd, 6-7 pm (CET) (12:00 pm EST).

I also urge those who are not yet familiar with the UECNA to go to its site to learn more about its activities to assist people who are experiencing aircraft noise and emitted aircraft emissions. UECNA holds regular webinars and there will be a webinar on March 6th about Ultra Fine Particles with Debi Wagner, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport activist, as the speaker.

If you would like to attend the webinar, go the UECNA site and scroll down to the post about upcoming webinars. There you will find a subscription form for the Zoom link.
